They can also be used to buy Strainz on the marketplace and are required for Breeding.

Breed

Each Strain has a Breeding Cost which you have to pay in order to breed two Strainz with each other.

After breeding you get a new freshly minted Strain, where it's Grow Rate is dependent of it's Parents.

Why will Strainz Price Likely Increase After this Update? 📈

Look at a supply and demand graph; when supply decreases, the price goes up to match the demand for the new supply-demand equilibrium. Strainz token production is cut in half, decreasing the supply overtime, and the supply cap will make it so the supply does not increase past this point, increasing the price of Strainz with every new person buying.

Strainz recently announced its first halvening and supply cap! This is a huge news, and the halvening means that every plant’s grow rate will be cut in half. In addition, the amount of strainz in circulation will be capped at 50 Million Strainz, this cap will be set by the addition of halvenings in the future, and several burn mechanics which are currently being implemented.

The daily Strainz produced per day will be half it is now when the halvening is implemented. This means if a plant produces 100 strainz per day, it will now produce 50, this means significantly lower strainz entering the ecosystem everyday.
