Renewable Energy Initiative

The long term goal of $OFFSET is the development of renewable energy projects which will reduce public reliance on fossil fuels while generating income to support $OFFSET through the purchase and burn of tokens.

To achieve this, 200,000,000 $OFFSET has been time locked in unicrypt. 5% of this balance will be unlocked weekly using 10 seperate time locks. Once unlocked, the distribution received on these tokens will be converted to bnb, the remainder (initial balance) will be locked again for another 10 weeks. In this way, the 200,000,000 $OFFSET designated for development will continue to generate revenue indefinitely. The time locks have been designed in this way to keep funds secure, build trust and ensure the long term ability of $OFFSET to continue project developments.

$OFFSET: a coin with a cause

4% of every transaction goes towards supporting verified Gold Standard​ carbon dioxide offsetting projects.

$OFFSET's support of Gold Standard projects will contribute to measurable and verified reductions in global carbon emission. For each contribution we make, a third party carbon credit certificate will be issued and our carbon offset certificate will be added into the public Gold Standard database.
 

Gold Standard

The Gold Standard is widely considered to be the highest global standard for carbon offsets. It ensures that each certified project is designed to maximize carbon emission reduction while providing social and economic benefit to the local community. Only offsets from energy-efficiency and renewable-energy projects qualify for the Gold Standard. These projects encourage a shift away from fossil fuel use and carry low environmental risks.
